What are "Volume (G)" and "Volume (L)" columns?

In "Volume(G)" (Global) and "Volume(L)" (Local) columns, you can view the Keyword Search Volume of this term (average monthly searches).

• Volume (G) shows the average monthly searches for "All Locations."

• Volume (L) shows the searches for a targeted location (country), based on the selected Search Engine or location you set.

For example:

If it's tracked for google.com—local is USA searches.

google.com.au—Australia

google.co.uk—UK

google.fr—France

google.com.br—Brazil

and so on...

Google - An exact Google search volume for the selected keyword (Google Keyword Planner).

Bing - Exact Bing search volume. Local for US, UK, France, Germany, Canada (other areas will show the US search volume).

YouTube - YouTube estimated search volume.

Amazon - Amazon estimated search volume.

Localized country level volume for the correct Amazon local sites.

What is "estimated volume"?

Since YouTube, Amazon and other platforms (unlike Bing and Google) don't release the actual search volume for keywords, we estimate it using clickstream data.

While we can't guarantee 100% accuracy of our estimates, we do our best to provide the most accurate data possible.

*Keyword search volume (unlike rankings), can take up to 24 hours to get updated from the time the term is added.

**Search volume data is only available for paid plans.
